Hi Dancers,

I’m happy to tell you that last month’s benefit for Butter the K-9 Care Dog was very successful! Thank you to all who attended and donated at the dance. Special thanks to Dan and Kathy Medina for set-up help. Kudos to Jay and Jen Kinzler and John and Elizabeth Farccaro with clean up. Bentley’s Pet Store, Texas Roadhouse and Village Pizza of Elgin and C’Ville were kind enough to donate for the silent auction.

Some do not know how time consuming it is each month to organize and set up the chapter dances. Greater Fox Valley Chapter of USA Dance is totally a not-for-profit and volunteer organization. Selecting and downloading the songs for each ‘theme” dance is especially time consuming. DJ Dr. Rod deserves a special a “thank you” for his effort putting together dance music for the evening. Any help with dances is welcomed, too. If you have a knack for decorating, or if you would like to bring a snack or help with set-up and clean up be sure to let us know.

Did you know that although the Chapter is not-for-profit every dance is a benefit for the St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Food Pantry. In addition, a special benefit dance is held for Butter the Comfort Dog . In December we hold a charity dance to benefit “Home of the Sparrow”, an organization that provides transitional housing and support to homeless women and children in McHenry County.
